It’s a true joy caring for others,” Jennifer says. “The best part of being a part of this office is serving the patients in the community, the quality of dentistry delivered, and the team-oriented approach to dentistry with the highest quality of care.”

Jennifer’s favorite oral health tip is to invest in a musical-timer toothbrush for the kids. It makes brushing fun and encourages them to learn good oral hygiene.

Sarah Olmstead

Registered Dental Assistant

Sarah graduated from the Mott Community College Dental Assisting program. She was awarded the Max Hart Dental Academic Excellence Award from Mott and was appointed to the college’s Dental Advisory Board to guide curriculum. She is also a committee member for the Michigan Dental Assistants Association and Vice President of the Genesee District Dental Assistants Society.

She joined Dr. Bone in August 2016. She works with patients, but also orders all dental supplies and meets with sales representatives. She works with Dr. Bone’s Invisalign® patients. When not in this office, she works with a specialist in periodontics and dental implants. That experience helps her patients in this office.

“I chose dentistry because I understand how frightening it can be. I had a bad experience as a child, as so many people do. I want to show my patients that the dental chair doesn’t have to be a scary or painful place,” Sarah says. “Believe it or not, patients who are anxious or apprehensive are my favorite. I make it my goal every day to change their negative perspective of the dental office.”

Sarah’s favorite oral health care tip is classic: Never go to bed without brushing and flossing. She even suggests keeping floss in your bedside table so there are no excuses.
